PlanetGlass.net debuted in 2001 as the first and only website dedicated solely to Mid-20th Century Modernist art glass. With a strong emphasis on Italian glass from Murano, PlanetGlass.net also offers fine vintage art glass from Scandinavia and North America, from companies such as Orrefors, Kosta and Blenko.

Our glass has been featured on Martha Stewart Living, in a Lowes commercial directed by Nick Cassavetes, in Leslie Pina’s book Italian Glass: Century 20, in The Los Angeles Weekly, Phoenix Home and Garden, The Los Angeles Times, and The Antiques Roadshow Insider.

PlanetGlass.net is owned and operated by Laura Friedman, who began collecting glass while a Vice President of Development at Paramount Pictures. She serves on the boards of the Society of Architectural Historians and the Los Angeles Conservancy’s Modern Committee.

All our items are unconditionally guaranteed, and will be accepted back if you're not happy for any reason (see our shipping & returns section for terms). Although we do our best to describe every item accurately, we are not experts and cannot warrant that our attributions are always correct. Purchaser understands that all items are sold “as-is”, with no warranty made as to authenticity and/or condition.

Credit card payments are facilitated by Paypal.com. Credit cards are accepted only if items are shipped to confirmed billing addresses. Ordered items will be relisted if funds are not received by us within ten business days. All checks must be drawn on United States banks, and are held for clearance before items are shipped. There will be a $30 charge for any returned checks.

Due to the vintage nature of the merchandise being offered, some minor wear is to be expected. Any unusual wear or damage is carefully noted in our descriptions. All measurements are approximate. We encourage you to ask any questions that you may have before ordering merchandise.

All our items are unconditionally guaranteed, and will be accepted back if we are notified within ten days of receipt. Items must be returned to us within ten days of your notification. Returned items must be returned in original condition. Shipping costs are not refundable, and return shipping costs will be incurred at buyer's expense.

Most items are double boxed. We insure all items being shipped domestically, and ship via USPS priority mail. Oversized items are shipped via UPS.

All international items are declared as “merchandise” on customs forms. There are no exceptions to this policy. Insurance on international shipments costs extra, and while recommended, is at buyer's request. International buyers will be given a choice between ground and airmail shipping. All payments must be made in US dollars.
