1702 - Large 1950s Philip Paval Ring |
|
|
| An eye-catching and important piece of wearable art by Mid Century Modernist New York silversmith Philip Paval, whose work is featured in the 1998 edition of Warmans "Jewelry" book. Paval's work is very scarce and sought after by collectors. The bright orange stone, which appears to be coral, is raised inside a large sterling dish. This large and substantial ring is a size 5.5. It measures 1" across the top. In very good vintage condition. It is signed "P/P Paval, sterling" as shown. |
